Interchangeable Modules written specifically for this project:
A Dynamic events calendar allowed users to browse events monthly, then retrieve details about upcoming events. Admins could login and edit, add, and delete events while browsing the content.
The website had a company directory that users could search and browse in order to find dealers of the products in their areas. Company types could also be assigned so that users could browse the directory based upon the type of product that they specialized in.
Categorized articles and editorials could be added to the website that allowed administrators and privileged users to add, edit and delete this type of content. HTML files could also be uploaded and imported to the system for use.
A classifieds system was also a module that would allow users to browse and add classifieds items and services that they had for sell.
Users had the ability logon to their accounts, change information about themselves or change their password. If a user had any classified listings, they would also be displayed in the user’s profile. Administrators had the ability to view, edit and delete user profiles or even disable the ability for users to register or login to the system. User permissions could also be assigned. New permissions could also be created by administrators in order to provide better control of user access to different sections and modules of the websites.
Banner advertisements could be controlled by the administrators. Banner placement, descriptions and rotation could be modified for a unlimited number of banners. Banner clicks were stored in the database allowing administrators to view important performance data about each banner.
A recent news module was provided, giving administrators basic blog functionality to the website.
The products module was one of the most important modules found on the website. Administrators had the ability to add, edit and delete products. Each categorized product could have a description as well as user ratings based upon a 5-star system. Users could add comments about each product. The featured products section on the homepage could be assigned when adding products, or while browsing through the products while logged on as an administrator.
